Description

Inspired by the historic Al Maqta Watchtower, this oversized T-shirt celebrates one of Abu Dhabi’s oldest defensive landmarks through a refined artistic interpretation. Commissioned during the late 18th century under the supervision of Sheikh Shakhbut bin Dhiyab bin Isa Al Nahyan, the tower guarded the only passage to Abu Dhabi Island, protecting the settlement and becoming a lasting symbol of the emirate’s early history.

The front features signature Abu Dhabi typography, while the back showcases an exclusive painterly illustration of the watchtower overlooking calm coastal waters. Framed with historical references, the artwork blends heritage and contemporary design to create a timeless piece inspired by the foundations of modern Abu Dhabi.
